The Formal Minutes of the Planning Meeting for our RV Road Trip.
Some Early Math- Nic's estimate of total cost:
3000 miles x 8 gallons x $3.00/gallon = $500K
Meeting brought to order March 31, 2009 9:20pm
Members Present: Kat, Kristi, Nic
- -Kat did break down on $ sitch, discussion on money cap
- -Kat brought out book to consider possible shithole hookups to dump black H2O
- -Kat unsure about hostel stay, Kristi brings up interesting point on meeting foreigners and showing off our "good" English
- -did I hear Bed and BAKERY?
- -Haunted Brothel- hmmmmmmmm???
- -Kat seems to be the true leader of the group, Kristi and I are stepping back to allow Kat opportunity to hone these skills
- -Nic drawing inappropriate pictures
- -KOA $25/motor home/night- not bad!
- -Kat feels alone in her desire to take serious the convo.
- -Some confusion among the girls re: fiction vs. nonfiction- INCONCEIVABLE!
- -Wigwams a possibility taking Nic back to her days at Valley Elem. social studies class
- -Kat brings out laptop to assist in the planning
- -Kat makes helpful & rather profound suggestion that we think about our sense of direction.
- -Kristi tests her geography & sense of direction with Arizona and New Mexico- it didn't turn out well
- -Kat suspects she will be dropping Kristi & Nic off on the side of the road before exiting New Mexico
- -The 3 decide that perhaps planning this damn trip will prove to be more fun than driving it
- - Kristi makes the interesting request to be sure to see a "tree" along the way.
- -Nicole gets excited as the RV chugs into Tennessee and she dreams of Aquanet
- -Who knew that Atlanta was the home of Coca-Cola?
- -Kat seems eager to get home once hitting the Atlantic
- -Kat remembers times of driving from WV to Florida-this doesn't mean much to Kristi & Nic
- -Kristi feels as though our destination cities are working out perfectly. Unfortunately, we've only traveled 2 out of the 12 days.
- -Nic has some confusion re: difference between Amarillo and armadillo
- -What exactly is in Memphis? Nic says BBQ, Kristi says site of MLK shooting- seems like a rather unfortunate combination
- -Pigeon Forge to Frederick, MD seems like a crappy way to end such an exciting trip
- -Kristi tallies 2498 miles thus far
- -discussion around Dollywood and what it really is- Veggie Tales slideshow excites the group
- -Group wonders what would be on the minds of donkeys that hoist our asses on the backs and carry us down the Grand Canyon when they see us walking over with our money
- -Nic takes potty break & discovers clogged toilet. When no one seems to care she ponders what would happen should this happen in the RV?
- -Code for price sheet- #'s = miles #'s in a box=KOA prices
- -Kat believes we have a good idea of what's going on & the others agree. She feels satisfied with our work and believes the trip is still on the table
- Kristi tallies $1400/per person- the question posed to the group tonight is are we committing to taking the trip
- Haven't added in cost of Boone's Farm- this could break the bank
- Votes cast by secret ballot. Looks like we're going on a trip in an RV- Bring it on sistas!!
- Meeting adjourned at 10:50pm & candle snuffed- Kristi choking, after dividing up trip into thirds so each can research
